New Paralegal
Learned Lawyer is very happy to announce that we've hired Maritza Black as a Paralegal. Maritza just graduated from Concordia University School of Law and will be working part-time for Learned Lawyer while she studies for the bar exam. Maritza may be familiar to some of you, because she worked as an intern for Learned Lawyer during her last semester of law school.
Please join me in welcoming Maritza. You can read more about her on our biographies page.
COVID-19 Update
In accordance with the Governor's "reopening" plan, we are continuing to work remotely for the most part. If you need to contact us, call our main number at (208) 615-5327, or email christine@learnedlawyeridaho.com. We promise we will be back in touch with you soon.
When the Governor moves us to Phase Two, which is anticipated for May 18, we will resume in-person signing meetings for all our estate plans. We will have a bit of a backlog, as we've been hard at work meeting and drafting plans, but we promise we will get through them as quickly as we can. We will not generally resume in-person meetings for anything other than signing meetings during Phase Two, and will continue to meet with clients through phone or video conference.
During Phase Three, which hopefully will begin toward the beginning of June, we will resume in-person meetings unless otherwise requested. We have learned that video and phone conference work fine in many cases for education and intake meetings. So, although we prefer in-person meetings, we will keep the option open permanently for anyone who chooses to meet remotely for our initial meetings.
We hope you are well. If we can be of any assistance during this difficult time, whether to review old documents, prepare a new Living Will and Healthcare Power of Attorney, or even just for a bit of company, please let us know! We're here for you and eager to help.
