On June 4, 2018, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that a Colorado cake baker could decline to prepare a wedding cake for a same-sex couple on religious grounds. Masterpiece Cakeshop, Ltd. v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, 584 U.S. ___ (2018). So I thought I’d take a moment to reiterate that, even if Learned Lawyer could decline service to a couple on religious grounds, we will not. Indeed, all are welcome to experience the peace of mind that comes from completing your estate plan, or to seek help wrapping up the affairs of a lost loved one.
Indeed, we are delighted to serve ALL people. So if you are a same-sex couple, you are welcome! If you are an opposite-sex couple, you are welcome! If you are single and proud of it, you are welcome! If you are Christian, or Muslim, or Buddhist, or you think religion is for chumps, you are welcome! If you think guns should be banned, you are welcome! If you think every adult should own a gun, you are welcome! If you are a Bernie Sanders liberal or a Donald Trump conservative, you are welcome! If your family has been in Idaho for four generations, or if you just arrived here yesterday, you are welcome!
